WEAVINGS INTERNATIONAL

"Creating woven art from within our own culture gives us the tools to appreciate many of the world's other cultures. I have been fortunate enough to travel abroad based on just my love of weaving, and have friends wherever I go."Ecological Arts founder, Rebecca Burgess.

The practice of creating ecological arts locally gives insight and
connection to thousands of communities around the planet. The relationship that cultures throughout the world have with the land around them yields highly functional and sacred art pieces.

Ecological Arts has studied and been inspired by traditional villages around the world. These villages work in harmony with their environment. They stand as a model from which we can learn how to restore community and
environmental harmony within our own society.

Ecological Arts regularly acquires a small number of art pieces from weaving masters in southeast Asia, and invites you to purchase them. The sale of these textiles directly supports ecological farming, biodiversity, environmental restoration, and healthy human communities.

We acquire these pieces at Fairtrade prices, which represents a true living wage.
